Notes:
  • Reminder that we have SAC on Monday night at 7:00.  We will ask our parents in attendance to do a budget priority activity to help in our school’s planning for next year.
  • Huge thanks to the Model Project for organizing the Safire presentations last week - it was a huge hit!  Mental Health Week was also a success with our Hats On day last Wednesday.  We appreciate all of the Model Project’s support, as well as the hard work of our students and staff.
  • On Thursday our grade 4 students will participate in each of the 3 focus programs to give them a further insight into which of the 3 focus programs they will request for grade 5.  Next week letters will go home for parents to complete requesting programming.  If you have any questions about our focus programs please contact Mr. Dumont at 780-632-2266.
  • Mrs. Welke is starting a community service group for students in grades 1 through 6.  There will be a meeting for all interested students on Wednesday, May 13 at noon recess in Mrs. Welke’s French room.  Community involvement enables students to show solidarity with people who are in need and who require assistance. It provides students with an opportunity to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and puts into practice the social teaching of the Church. It fosters an understanding of civic responsibility and participation, helps young people develop and share their skills with others in the wider community and develops strong ties between students and their community which will foster valuable and long-term relationships. If you feel you would like to give back to your community, please come to find out what it is all about.
