  1. Harvest Ball an Amazing Evening of Giving

On Saturday evening, I had the pleasure of joining many staff members, many parents, and many Vegreville community members in the annual Harvest Ball. Organized by the St. Martin’s Catholic School Foundation, this event is the major fundraiser for the Foundation and helps to support activities and initiatives within the school. As a school, we are so very blessed to have so many people willing to buy tickets to the event, donate items, and purchase items. A big thanks to the students and staff of St. Martin’s and the various community members who helped in the production of the student artwork, it looked absolutely fantastic. To the Foundation and all of the many individuals involved in the organization of the Foundation, please accept my thanks on behalf of all of the students and staff of St. Martin’s.

  1. Parent Teacher Interviews

We will be trying an online booking system for Parent Teacher Interviews this year. Please look for a letter on Tuesday with all of the details. It will be sent in paper and electronic format.

  1. St. Martin’s / St. Mary’s School Bus

We are very lucky to have the ability to use the the school bus that is shared between St. Mary’s and St. Martin’s. Coming from Sherwood Park, I know the high cost of using district owned buses or third party bus charter companies. We are able to go on school field trips at a significant reduction in cost because of our access to the bus. The challenge we have, is finding driver’s of the bus for our field trips. In order to drive a school bus, you must possess a class 2 license. Please contact the office if you would be willing to volunteer as a bus driver.
