  1. Fall Break

I hope that everyone had a great fall break. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to Disneyland. It was a wonderful trip for my family as we have never had the opportunity  to go on such a trip. For my five daughters it was a fantastic chance to experience the sights and sounds of an amazing place with all of the wonder and beauty that is Disney. As much as they enjoyed the characters and the rides, they absolutely loved the fireworks and the parades and our Makenna loved It’s a Small World which was set in a Christmas theme. In fact, she loved it so much we had to go on it twice. There is certainly something magical about Disneyland and I am sure it will be talked about around our dinner table for a long time.

Regardless of whether you travelled over the break or stayed close to home, I sincerely hope the break was restful for our students. We are quickly approaching the Christmas season and there will be lots going on over the next few weeks.

  1. Junior University

Junior University is going into its second “semester” this upcoming Friday with students being able to select their courses this week. The courses will be two days long and will be repeated a second time.

We are always looking for exciting activities for our JU students. If you think you could help with a Junior University activity because you have a skill or talent that could be shared with, please contact Mr. Coles or Mrs. Sorochan in the office and we will put together a plan to have you be involved in our JU program.

  1. Stmartinsville Council

Council recently passed a bylaw to start a St. Martin’s Cheer Club that will support our sister school St. Mary’s. The details are still being worked out, but grade 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to travel to St. Mary’s home games and cheer on the home club Saints.

Council will be meeting this week to discuss the December Spirit Day.
